Sinopsis:
Based on Booth Tarkington’s characters, Penrod and Sam find themselves at odds with the neighborhood bully Rodney and become rivals themselves over pretty Marjorie Jones. When they are made to invite the town’s sissy Georgie to join their clubhouse they make an unpleasant initiation for him despite warnings from his father to be nicer to Georgie. Things begin to go wrong for Penrod when his beloved dog Duke is run over and his father
decide to sell the lot where their clubhouse is located resulting in the boys being kicked off the lot by the owner Georgie’s father, Georgie exact his revenge on Penrod when he rufuses to let Penrod visit the grave of Duke next to the clubhouse. When Penrod father realizes how much the lot meant to Penrod and the mistake he made in selling it, he buys it back from Georgie’s father on the condition that he befriends the neighborhood bully Rodney, Penrod agrees, he and Sam make up after an argument over Marjorie, and even invite Rodney to join their clubhouse.
